DESCRIPTION:Peckerwood Garden is proud to host the 2018 annual meeting of The Cycad Society on Sunday\, November 5th. There will be a series of presentations by Michael Calonje\, cycad biologist at Montgomery Botanical Center in Miami\, Garrie Landry\, retired botanist and herbarium curator at University of Louisiana at Lafayette\, the society's Craig Nazor discussing the organization's role in cycad conservation\, and Peckerwood's director of horticulture Adam Black on his trip to New Caledonia. Lunch will be available followed by a great auction of rare cycads plants and related materials. The public is invited to attend the presentations\, but to attend the auction you will need to be a member of The Cycad Society (membership can be purchased at the event).
